Rotary Club of Pearlridge Spreads Literacy and Character in Hawaii Schools

The Rotary Club of Pearlridge is making a big impact on third graders in Aiea and Pearl City, Hawaii, by donating personal dictionaries to students and teachers at 14 local schools. Each dictionary includes a copy of Rotary's Four Way Test, a set of guiding ethical principles. At the end of the school year, the club will recognize two students from each school who best embody those values with a certificate and a $50 check. Club member Barry Villamil shared,

“It's such a wonderful feeling with each visit to the third graders' classrooms to see their excitement and smiles as each dictionary is personally presented to them by a truly grateful and proud RCOP member.”
