Literacy for Thomas County Promotes Reading with Dictionary Donations
Literacy for Thomas County, a Georgia-based initiative promoting lifelong learning, recently donated
personal dictionaries to every third grader in the county.
Volunteers from local organizations—including
Rotary, Thomasville National Bank, the Veterans Administration, Thomas County Public Library, and Hands on Thomas County—joined the effort. Together, they visited classrooms to present the books and discuss the
importance of literacy for future success.
The group’s mission is clear: provide the resources children need to thrive and become impactful members of their community.
